The Barbel Club  Sat 12 & Sun 13 October Whitney Court Estate, Whitney on Wye, Herefordshire

Join us for an exclusive barbel fishing festival weekend on one of the classic beats of the middle River Wye

This tranquil and picturesque part of the wye valley located a few miles downstream of Hay holds good a stock of coarse fish, especially the barbel & chub and is fished by the likes of Trefor West, Martin Bowler & Steve Pope to name but a few legendary anglers.

Tickets include 2 days fishing from dusk till dawn Saturday & Sunday plus 2 nights camping Friday & Saturday night at The Pound Campsite situated on Beat 2 of the stretch.

Arrival If Camping The Weekend

You can arrive from  Friday from 2pm in the afternoon or evening at your leisure where you will be met and greeted by us ready to get you're camp set up for the weekend.

And join us for a pint & a bite if you wish Friday night at the Boat Inn opposite our camp.   We will also be walking the fishery in the afternoon time to be decided.

Fishing

Fishing is from Dawn until Dusk Saturday & Sunday day on beats 3, 4 5 & 6 of Whitney Court which is less that 2 mins by car from where we are located for the weekend with parking available for everyone at the fishery.

Saturday is a roam around fishing day for you to  fish where you wish on the designated beats and get familiar with the stretch, relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Saturday Night

A Barbel Club Social for our guests @ The Boat Inn Pub with food and drink available from 7.30pm till late and a pool competition for those that fancy some light entertainment.

We will also be  holding a charity raffle with the proceeds donated to the Wye & Usk Foundation in association with GBR Custom Rods at the social.

Sunday  A Barbel Club fun fishing competition from dawn until dusk with A position walk off draw to take place @ 6.45 am at the fishery with prizes for the most & biggest barbel.

2 days fishing £45 +B.F

2 days fishing and camping £70 per angler Plus a 10% booking fee

Please note booking fee covers each angler with public liability over the weekend whilst fishing

We also have a  "wash off policy" incase of severe flooding and the event will be rescheduled at a later date,

Camping

Camping is situated at The Pound Campsite. A small designated enclosed  camping area that has a modern & clean power shower block with toilet facilities and situated opposite the Boat Inn Pub on Beat 2 of Whitney Court.

There is also a small shop locally if anything is needed.

Extras Available  .

Breakfast  Pound Campsite

A cooked breakfast can be provided for £12.50 per guest served via the Pound campsite as an extra from 6am Saturday &  Sunday morning.   Please book separate breakfast ticket/s with your reservation at checkout.

Packed Lunch

A packed Lunch can be provided for £5 per person if required Saturday & Sunday please purchase packed lunch ticket for day/s required with your ticket.

Bed N Breakfast

A limited amount of B N B room upgrades are also available onsite upon request from £90 per night minus .

Fishing Shack

A fishing shack is also available onsite with 4 beds in one room and 5 beds in another upon request @ £25 extra per person, per bed, per night. (breakfast not included).

Electric vehicles can also be recharged on site if required.
